Site Council Member Scott Wilson is serving on the District Budget Advisory Committee and will keep us updated regarding meeting dates and other information.
Thank you Scott for sharing the general information from the first District Budget Advisory Committee meeting. If you can find a minute, could you please post the dates of the next scheduled meetings, and where they will be located? Thanks! SE
The next scheduled meeting for the District Budget Advisory Committee is Feb 25th, this is a change as it was previously scheduled for the 24th. We will meet then on March 10th and 31st. The meetings run from 6:00 PM to 9:00 PM.
We had another meeting last night and completed the list review process. Our homework is to start the prioritization process as we move into the next phase of the process. The state budget is moving faster than anticipated and may allow this committee to have better numbers to work with as we go through this process. The meetings and process will now take on the weight of the community as any decision to reduce, eliminate, or change will have direct or indirect impact to our children and those who instruct. Be assured that any decision and again this is only a recommendation process not a true decision process, will be very thoroughly reviewed, considered, advocated and recommended with the greatest consideration to those being impacted.
